Tim joined the IDS team in 2015. He currently serves as the Project Manager for several landscape design projects. Tim chose to pursue Landscape Architecture as a means to enrich lives by reconnecting people to the natural world. He is strongly interested in environmental issues and edible landscapes. He is particularly skilled at the development of landscape design concepts through the use of 3D modeling. Before working at IDS, Tim’s previous office focused heavily on school improvement projects throughout the bay area. These projects were under the supervision of the DSA and consisted of new security fencing, sports fields, and planting plans.
Tim has a Bachelor of Science from Illinois State University in Art Education and a Master of Art in painting from Governor’s State University. Tim’s love of art led him to teach high school art for eight years in the southwest suburbs of Chicago, then he transitioned into design and received his certificate in Landscape Architecture from U.C. Berkeley Extension.
As a resident of Napa, Tim likes exploring the local wineries and, when his work and family schedule allows, he also enjoys painting and drawing as well as the occasional mountain biking adventure.
