Integrated Design Studio (IDS) is seeking a creative and motivated designer to join our growing team. Ideal candidates will be graphically talented, technically savvy, fluent at multi-tasking, and inspired to learn.   


Our office is home to a dynamic multidisciplinary design collaborative of architects, engineers, designers and artists.  We are an easy-going, diverse group of individuals that like to share donuts in morning.  Conveniently located in Mill Valley, CA near highway 101, the office is nestled amongst lush, outdoor display gardens with views to the Mt. Tam Watershed beyond. 


IDS is a full-service landscape architecture and site planning firm.  Our projects range from residential design to schools, wineries, and resorts.  Projects are local as well as international.  More information can be found on our website

  • Work on all phases of design from Concept Design to Construction Documents & CA

  • Coordinate permit submittals and bidding process

  • 2D and 3D rendering of Schematic Designs

  • Specification of details and materials

  • Construction detailing

  • Research building code, planning, and other permitting requirements 

  • Develop planting plans, irrigation plans, and vegetation management plans 

  • Site visits and Site Analysis

  • Communication with consultants and clients


Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS or MA in landscape architecture, architecture, or related field

  • Minimum 3 years full time work experience in landscape architecture

  • Experience organizing project workflow from design concept through the development of design drawings, and into construction documents

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and graphic)

  • Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Suite

  • Applicants must be currently permitted to work in the United States


Additional Qualifications (preferred but not required):

  • California Landscape Architect License

  • Experience with on-site Construction Administration

  • Experience using Lumion

  • Knowledge of planting palette for California
