Jennifer Ivanovich
Associate Landscape Architect
Jennifer brings over 20 years of experience at a range of different scales--from a Berkeley backyard to the Beijing Olympics' site. Her interests in landscape architecture bridge ecology, art, and ethnobotany. Being first-generation Croatian American, Jennifer has a strong conviction that practicality in the landscape cultivates a positive human connection. Edible and native plants are often found in her designs as a result. Her work can be found in Regional Landscape Architecture: Northern California: Rooted in Resilience and The Beautiful Edible Garden.
Jennifer grew up in the western suburbs of Chicago before moving to California to pursue a M.L.A. degree at the University of California-Berkeley. She has an B.A. in Biological Aspects of Conservation and Spanish from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is a licensed Landscape Architect in the State of California #6357. Jennifer is fluent in English, Croatian and Spanish.
Jennifer lives in Oakland with her family and 2 cats. She spends much of her free time cooking and practicing martial arts. Always ready for the next challenge, she has added roller skating and surfing to her skill set.
